This is a meta-page for the various IO-Node object types of the system. For detailed information see the Object Guides for the specific IO-Node object types linked below.

Each of these object types represents an structural element for a particualar type of external datasource in the I/O-Model. Underneath them, corresponding IO-Item objects and/or further IO-Node objects of the same type can be grouped to represent the structure of the external datasource. All IO-Node objects are linked to their external counterpart via the Item ID property.

For grouping IO elements independently form structures in the external datasource, IO-ItemGroup objects should be used.
