Restoring A Full MongoDB Backup
A restore of a full MongoDB backup is basically a copy of the offline MongoDB data files created by the MongoDB Fullbackup to the online location. To do so:
-
Make sure that the running MongoDB is configured the same as the offline backup was in terms of folder structure, security, binary version etc.
-
Stop the running MongoDB service
-
Replace the actual data directory with the offline backup
-
Start the MongoDB service
