Working with Certificates

Digital certificates are used to verify the identity of sender and receiver in digital communication as well as to encrypt and decrypt data that is transferred between these two parties.

Typical use cases are:

For the encryption of the communication between Nodes the system supports Certificates obtained in the Windows Certificate Store.

Self-Signed OpenSSL Certificates can be used to sign OPC UA application instance certificates.
