System Requirements
Processor Architecture Support
AspenTech Inmation OT DataFabric supports only 64 bit architectures. The Linux container version does support Intel and ARM processors (the ARMv8 architecture with crypto extensions).

Operating System Support
The Node can run as a Windows service and is also available as a Linux container.
In a system comprised of more than one Node, the operating system can vary for each Node. Windows and Linux container instances can be mixed and matched without limitation.
Windows OS Requirements
For Windows service deployments the minimum recommended OS requirements are Windows Server 2022 or Windows 11. It is generally recommended to install and run the Node service on the most up to date Windows operating system to maximize the performance of the whole system. Earlier versions might still work, but are not tested. Windows versions of AspenTech Inmation OT DataFabric are provided in the form of a setup executable.

Container Runtime Requirements
The operating system hosting the container execution should be a Linux host with Docker Engine installed as the container runtime. Alternatively, Docker Desktop on Windows targeting the Windows Sub-system for Linux (WSL) can be used. However, WSL is not recommended as a container runtime.
The container image is provided as a multi-platform image (AMD64 and ARM64), that can be pulled from a container registry on Azure.

MongoDB
A MongoDB Server is required to store and retrieve historical data. We recommend to use the latest MongoDB version listed as supported in the OT Data Fabric Release Notes.
