Internal Workings

The pages of this section of the documentation explain various aspects of how the system works internally.

The behavior of various aspects of the system can be controlled via a large number of configuration options. The page on Configuration Files and Unified Options provides background information on the configuration files and how the same configuration option can be translated for the use as a command line parameter, an environment variable or an entry in a configuration file.

The system consists of a multitude of objects, each providing a specific functionality to the system. This functionality often depends on other objects or external components. Object States and Auxiliary States provide information regarding the general performance of an object or possible problems.

Secure Communication describes how the system secures communication between Nodes, other system components as well as third-party data sources and consumers.

The pages on VQT Data explains what that is and how the system handles such data when it is brought into the system and exported from it.
