Using Bridge Interfaces

While the system easily connects to a wide variety of 3rd-party datasources via OPC Connectivity and its Datasource Interfaces, a few cases require very specific functionality. This is provided by the system’s Bridge Interfaces.
How these interfaces are installed and used is the subject of the following pages.

If you want to connect to an AVEVA PI system historian through the History Sink object, the PI Bridge service should be installed.

To create an interface to a Uniformance PHD Server through the History Transporter objects, the PHD Bridge service should be installed.

If you wish to create an interface to a PCS7 Simatic Batch Server through the Lua API, the Simatic Batch Bridge service should be installed. It uses the Simatic Batch API.
